Why Action Rides

Paul "Action Jaxon" Bullard is an HIV/AIDS activist and has sacrificed his body for 20 years by participating in bike rides to raise awareness and funds for the research of  HIV/AIDS. For the last 5 years, Action has fully supported the 7 day, 545-mile bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles, co-produced by and benefiting San Francisco AIDS Foundation and the Los Angeles LGBT Center. This ride raises awareness about the ongoing HIV/AIDS epidemic and funds services such as HIV testing, prevention, care, and much more.

Every year Action trains hard with his wife and they both ride in the 7 day, 545 mile fundraiser together. Unfortunately, the ride was canceled due to the COVID-19 Pandemic for 2020 and 2021 however, organizers are preparing for a 2022 ride. Action and his family are already signed up and currently training for this life changing event.

In AIDS/LifeCycle 2018, 2,300 Cyclists and more than 650 volunteers raised a record $16.6 million for critical HIV/AIDS services provided by San Francisco AIDS Foundation and the Los Angeles LGBT Center.

And we can’t wait to do it again. Are you ready to change lives?

By being a part of AIDS/LifeCycle, you will help us work towards the following:

  1. Fund the work of San Francisco AIDS Foundation and the Los Angeles LGBT Center to provide free HIV/AIDS medical care, testing, and prevention services.

  2. Raise awareness to end the stigma surrounding HIV/AIDS.

  3. Provide a positive, life affirming experience for people affected by HIV/AIDS.

  4. Grow our community of activists, volunteers, and ambassadors fighting to end AIDS.

  5. Honor those who have passed from AIDS-related causes.
